Night Operation Technicians are responsible for driving a company vehicle (pick-up truck) with a mounted spray unit attached to apply an Ultra-Low Volume mosquito control product to contracted communities, subdivisions, industrial sites, and other harborage areas in an effort to control the adult mosquito population.

Shift: Monday- Friday, 5:00 pm to 5:00 am (start and end times will vary based on business needs) Weekends and/or overtime may be required based on business need    

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a map to drive to assigned treatment site(s) and navigate through treatment routes
  • Apply treatments accurately and in a safe, proper, and timely manner
  • Perform daily inspections of vehicles and equipment and communicate any issues to the supervisor
  • Document daily work activity including product used and units performed
  • Responsible for making sure safe work practices and procedures are followed at all times

Successful Candidate Must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills
  • Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms
  • Have a valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to sit and drive a vehicle for extended periods of time as well as walk extensively
  • Required to pass the Minnesota Department of Agriculture General Standards Exam (training provided)
  • Capable of using handheld technical devices including, but not limited to, smartphones, GPS, system applications
  • Have good physical dexterity and the ability to bend, lift, and carry all water systems (some in excess of 100 lbs.) with a partner
