Clarke of Roselle, IL is seeking to hire a Night Driver Technician to help control populations of adult mosquitoes by applying an ultra-low volume mosquito product from our company vehicle with a spray unit attached. The Night Driver Technician will safely treat subdivisions, private residences, golf courses, and campgrounds. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about public health, sustainability, and is looking for a flexible, graveyard shift position. This position earns a competitive wage of $17/hr. and generally works an 8PM-5AM shift Monday-Friday (end time may vary based on business needs). The Night Truck Technician works a 40+ hour work week and supports the summer season operations (generally April - September).


As a Night Driver Technician, you are responsible for the application of an Ultra-Low Volume mosquito control product with a sprayer mounted to a company truck throughout subdivisions, private residences, golf courses, and campgrounds to help control the adult mosquito population. You love your Night Driver Technician job as you get to be out of an office and driving the local community during the calmest times of the night. A map will be given to you by your supervisor for you to utilize as you navigate your Truck through treatment routes while abiding all traffic laws. You have excellent attention to detail as you apply treatments accurately, safely, and in a timely manner. Lastly, you document all activity to ensure customer's contracts are completed.

When you are not servicing customer accounts, you are performing inspections and maintenance on your equipment, attending training, or helping in other aspects of your field. Your passion for public health, the outdoors, and nature shines through as you complete your work each day.

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills
  • Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms
  • Have a valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to sit and drive a vehicle for extended periods of time as well as walk extensively
  • Required to pass the Illinois Department of Agriculture General Standards Exam (training provided)
  • Capable of using handheld technical devices including, but not limited to, smartphones, GPS, system applications
  • Comfortable performing assigned duties while operating a vehicle through various residential communities, urban environments, and traffic patterns where environmental conditions are affected by weather, pedestrians, and other operating vehicles
