Clarke the leading provider of solutions for the aquatic habitat management and mosquito control industries is seeking to hire an Outside Sales professional to drive the growth of our aquatic habitat management services business throughout the state of Michigan.   


With Clarke, you are not just pushing products and services.  You are a trusted consultant.  Designing and offering sustainable solutions to help your customers to improve the health of lakes and waterways in their communities. 

As you would expect in an outside sales role, you can expect to spend a significant amount of time out in the field; visiting accounts and calling on lake boards and property managers.  Other activities will include attending local and regional meetings, calling on prospective customers, responding to bid proposals and RFPs, and developing your sales strategy, plan, forecast and budget.

This position offers a highly competitive salary, a six figure total earnings potential, and a comprehensive benefit package that will include health insurance, 401k plan, and a company provided vehicle.

  • 3+ years outside sales/business development experience in a similar or related industry.
  • Experience working with or calling on municipal and governmental accounts is a plus.
  • The ability to create a compelling presentation of solutions that serve the customer's needs and support Clarke's reputation as a trusted leader in the market.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to create and produce reports, business correspondence and presentations.
  • Given the nature of the role and the business, you can expect to spend a fair amount of time working in the field in, on, and around water, working on and operating watercraft and aquatic ecosystems equipment, and working with chemicals (herbicides and pesticides). Relevant experience, aptitude and ability is required.
  • You will often be required to drive a motor vehicle, operate a vehicle and watercraft, equipment, make verbal presentations to customers and company personnel and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Some overnight travel by car and/or airplane will be required.

Candidate should reside in the region and be able to work out of a home office (office set-up will be provided).
