Clarke of Roselle, IL is seeking to hire a Seasonal/Temporary Administrative Support team member that will be responsible for providing exceptional internal and external customer service to Clarke's Service Operation by performing day to day administrative support to Clarke's Chief Mechanic and team. This position will maintain the records of Clarke equipment, supplies and vehicle maintenance and provide exceptional customer service by being the first point of contact to our customers regarding technical support over the phone. As a Seasonal Administrative Support team member, you will be responsible for fleet/equipment record keeping (i.e., vendor maintenance, vehicle registration, emission testing, calibration, and fleet system documentation), coordinating repairs of vehicles with outside vendors, and ensuring parts inventory is maintained to adequate levels. You love your daytime job as you have the ability to work on a variety of tasks and use your creativity to improve operational efficiency and elevate customer service. You have excellent attention to detail and safety as you maintain fleet/maintenance records, schedule repairs, and work with internal/external customers to ensure all vehicles/equipment are safe and operational. Lastly, your organizational skills shine through as you maintain records of DOT equipment and inspections, and update state-wide inventory records requiring DOT inspections/maintenance.

When you are not working with the fleet and equipment maintenance team, you are providing excellent customer service, operations support (i.e., assisting Chief Mechanic/Operations Team), and general administrative support. Your passion and dedication are realized as you participate in safety/training activities, practice/promote sustainability, and utilize internal systems to generate reports.

  • 1-2 years previous work experience in an administrative or support role

  • Computer proficiency & aptitude including accurate data entry skills and  knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and internet navigation.
  • Be 18 years of age or older

  • Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills

  • Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms

  • Have a valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record

  • Ability to assist with writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with and respond to questions from internal and external customers. Ability to partner with cross functional teams to meet performance objectives and support the mission and vision of the Company.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to organize time and tasks with little direction or supervision.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the person is often required to sit and answer phones for an extended amount of time, drive a motor vehicle, operate various office equipment including a phone, keyboard and mouse.

  • The duties of this job may be performed in an office/garage environment (where the lighting is maintained but temperature may not be due to overhead doors opening and closing). While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals (including pesticides, algaecides and herbicides) and gasoline. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
